personal series
For this series, we got to choose what we wanted to work on, and I chose collages. I chose photos in magazines that were similar in color and emotion. For the first one, I went all out and I'm not really sure which emotion or theme I conveyed. The second one's kind of lame because I made it simplistic and boring, but that's what I was trying to do. I tried to make the third one really strong and realistic. Overall, I looked for background images to start with and built up off of that. I cut out what attracted my eye.

negative space
For this series, we took pictures emphasize negative spaces. To emphasize this, we shot different subjects like portraits, branches, silhouettes, rooflines, buildings, and shadows.

experimental sketchbook
For this series, we first edited the pictures we already took and added filters and text. I didn't really use filters, but I did use the clone stamp, color replacement, and free transform tools. I also changed the brightness, saturation, and hues. For a lot of them I used both photoshop and picmonkey. In picmonkey, I used most of the edits that are supposed to be for faces (for example, the blemish fix and airbrush tools.) I know that these pictures don't look great nor perfectly edited, but that's sort of the point.

best of
These are the best photos from the three Eugene Atget series. I wanted to capture the detail in the stairs and not have a distracting background, or no background at all. I tried to make each picture have an interesting, extra object, like newspaper, leaves, or a plant.
